More Bucket Photos
Friday, August 25th, 2006You know a proud dad has to show off his photos. These shots were taken by Matt Dunmore, one of my coworkers, when Kristin brought Bucket in to work yesterday. Also, I am using the lightbox component.

If you haven’t heard, our new baby arrived on August 17th around 7:15 PM. We named him Cameron Ross, he was induced 4 weeks early due to an onset of preeclampsia. Even though he was early he still weighed in at 6 lbs. 7 oz. and 19.75 inches. Thanks to everyone for stopping by, giving gifts, and words of congratulations.
I diverted from the usual one picture b/c I liked both of these.

For those of you java developers who are looking for a Java implementation of the popular Ruby on Rails framework, look no further than Grails. It is still in early stages of development (0.2.1) but it is not too early to begin using it for personal sites to learn it. Built on the Groovy scripting language for the JVM ( now a JSR ), and with an enthusiastic base of developers, I feel like this framework will begin to pick up steam rather quickly. Finally, a framework in Java to compete with the RAD scripting feel of PHP and RoR’s. Try it now.
