Grocery Savings!!!
Well, I have been working on the coupon game for a few months now. I kind of fell off the wagon at the beginning of the summer, but tonight was my first trip back into the game. I usually shop at Publix – not only because their stores have a great selection, but also great customer service, good sales, and just a great shopping experience. Tonight I went to Publix at Cool Springs and spent $44.02…I saved $52.93..not too shabby. I ended up stocking up on alot of sale items…so this wasn’t an full grocery trip, but this will last us for a while in some areas. Here is a break down of what I got.

Next time I will try and post a photo, but all of my groceries got soaking wet!!!
I’m pretty proud of myself tonight..although the drama that ensued at the grocery store was another issue. As I was checking out, it started to pour outside (my umbrella would do nothing to stop the rain blowing sideways)…I figured I would end up walking around a bit more after checking out, seeing as I had Conner with me. I ended up going to the customer service desk to get a raincheck for some brownies and Kerry called…kindly reminding me that I had his house keys and he and Cameron couldn’t get into the apartment! Oh goodness, I quickly decided that I would go outside and load the groceries and come back for Conner. Thank goodness for the sweet girl at customer service that held Conner while I loaded up the groceries and pulled the car up beside the store…I was soaking wet…he just got a little wet. Made it home and all was well. I think the girl that held Conner for me thought I was insane. I kind of felt bad…she kept saying “You trust me with him?!” I just kept thinking that I didn’t really have an alternative and it wasn’t like I was outside for more than a couple of minutes. Hopefully, my next shopping trip will not be as eventful!!
